Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Develop and follow personalized care plans that address each individual’s specific health requirements and preferences.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities and social engagement.
- Use your driving skills to transport clients safely to appointments, errands, or social outings as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to provide updates and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards.
- Promote a positive environment through active listening, empathy, and respectful interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid driving license with reliable access to a vehicle is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding policies is advantageous.
