Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver preferably with a C1 entitlement on their licence to join our team here at The French Garden LTD. delivering fresh produce to our customer base in and around London.
A class two HGV licence would be a massive advantage....but training could be supplied to the right applicant.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and team members.
Duties
approximate working hours 2am to 10am Monday to Friday
- Operate a van for the purpose of delivering goods to various locations (Mostly Central London).
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of items.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered during transport.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- C1 on your driving licence would be a great advantage .(Generally obtained when passing your driving test before 1997)
Requirements
- Valid driving licence .
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
