Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with CAD software, and experience with various manufacturing processes including milling, grinding, and welding. The ideal applicant will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Interpret CAD files and utilise SolidWorks for design modifications as needed.
- Perform grinding, milling, and other machining processes to achieve precise dimensions and surface finishes.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist with assembly, welding, and other fabrication tasks.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Assist in the development of tooling setups for plastics injection moulding and other manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and machine settings.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating CNC machines.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks and general knowledge of CAD/CAM integration.
- Experience with grinding, milling, welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of plastics injection moulding processes is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations related to machining tasks.

Pay: £24,420.00-£43,989.02 per year
