Production Assistant Manager – Diamond & Gemstone Jewellery

£25,000 – £28,000 per year (depending on experience)
We are a well-established luxury diamond and gemstone jewellery brand based in Hatton Garden, London, seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Assistant Manager to oversee and manage our jewellery production operations.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring all jewellery pieces are produced to exceptional quality standards, delivered on time, and completed within the correct cost parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full jewellery production process from order confirmation to final completion
- Coordinate workflow between CAD designers, setters, polishers, mounters, and external workshops
- Manage sourcing of diamonds, gemstones, gold, and platinum
- Maintain strict quality control standards
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely delivery of all jobs
- Control production costs and protect company margins
- Problem-solve production issues quickly and efficiently
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure accurate specifications
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ jewellery production experience (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of diamonds, coloured gemstones, and precious metals
- Understanding of CAD, casting, setting, polishing and finishing processes
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Commercially aware – able to complete jobs at the right price
- Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred
- Experience working in Hatton Garden
- Experience managing workshop teams
- Strong supplier and workshop contacts
