Steady hours. Local rounds. The same people every week.
Safi Homecare is recruiting experienced Care Assistants for our North Charnwood team, covering Loughborough, Shepshed and the surrounding villages. This is our busiest area, and we have consistent, regular work available now for carers.

Why carers come to us, and why they stay
We build rounds that stay local and stay yours. You will visit the same service users week after week, in an area you know, with your calls grouped close together. That is better for you and it is much better for them. When you know someone properly, you notice the day their breathing changes or their appetite drops, and that is often what keeps them out of hospital.
Travel time between calls is paid, and mileage is paid on top.
We are nurse-led. Our Registered Manager is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Independent Prescriber, so when you ring the office with a clinical concern you are speaking to someone who understands it and can act on it.
The people you will support
North Charnwood has a large older population
Our service users include:
-
Older people living with dementia who need familiar faces and steady routines
-
Adults settling back at home after a hospital admission, a fall or a fracture
-
People living with diabetes, Parkinson's, stroke, heart failure and COPD
-
People approaching the end of life, supported to stay at home where that is their wish
-
Adults with physical disabilities living independently
Much of our work here is reablement, commissioned through Leicestershire County Council. This is short-term, goal-focused support after illness or injury. Someone who needs two carers to get out of bed in week one is often making their own breakfast by week six, and you will be the reason why.
What the job involves
-
Arriving as a familiar face, with time to talk while you work
-
Supporting independence, doing things alongside people rather than for them
-
Helping people keep the routines, faith practices and interests that make the day theirs
-
Personal care, washing, dressing and continence support, always with dignity
-
Medication prompting and administration
-
Meals and drinks, and noticing when someone is not eating or drinking well
-
Supporting mobility and safe moving and handling
-
Light housework and shopping
-
Clear, accurate recording on our digital care system
What we are looking for
Previous paid experience in care community, residential, supported living or hospital. You should be confident with personal care and comfortable working alone in someone's home.
Beyond that, we are looking for people who are reliable, who notice things, and who would want their own family cared for this way.
What you get from us
Full paid induction. Care Certificate completion or refresh. Training in moving and handling, medication, dementia care and reablement practice. Regular supervision, annual appraisal, and competency sign-off by our Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Support to progress into senior and field supervisor roles, and on to QCF and specialist qualifications.
Pay is £13.00 to £13.50 per hour, plus paid travel time, mileage, holiday pay, pension, refer-a-friend bonus, uniform and DBS.
Driving
A driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred and will give you the widest choice of rounds. We can also offer town-based rounds in Loughborough itself for confident non-drivers.
Hours
Full-time and part-time available. Mornings, evenings and alternate weekends. Tell us the hours that fit your life and we will build a round around them where we can.
