Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation and serving, while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. All positions are paid, including internships, and prior experience is welcomed but not essential as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly service with a positive attitude
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till system with basic maths skills
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts
- Assist with food preparation when required, including light snacks or baked goods
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times and optimise service flow
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role is desirable; training will be provided for those new to the role
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment demonstrates strong time management skills
- Basic mathematical ability for handling transactions accurately is required
- Proven ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and delivering excellent customer service
