About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Contracts Manager to join our growing construction team. This is a pivotal role overseeing multiple residential and commercial projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
As Contracts Manager, you'll be the key liaison between clients, site teams, subcontractors, and senior management. You’ll lead the coordination of contract administration, programme delivery, and operational excellence across your projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple construction contracts simultaneously across various sites
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Interpret and manage contract documentation (JCT, NEC, etc.)
- Ensure programme milestones and project timelines are achieved
- Lead site teams, driving quality, safety, and compliance
- Identify and mitigate project risks and variations
- Prepare progress reports, attend site meetings, and issue valuations
- Support procurement, materials scheduling, and cost control
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager or similar senior construction role
- Strong understanding of UK construction contracts, programmes, and building regulations
- Proven experience in managing residential and/or commercial builds
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Full UK Driving Licence
Preferred Qualifications:
- SMSTS / CSCS Black Card
- HNC / Degree in Construction Management or equivalent
- First Aid at Work
