School Cook – Part-Time (Small School)
School Cook Required
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and organised School Cook to prepare and serve healthy meals for our pupils in a small, welcoming school environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in providing nutritious meals, and can work independently in a small kitchen.
Main Duties
Prepare and cook daily school lunches for approximately [number] pupils and staff.
Ensure meals meet nutritional and dietary requirements.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Order food supplies and monitor stock levels.
Complete basic food safety and temperature records.
Manage food allergens and special dietary needs.
Wash up and leave the kitchen clean and tidy at the end of service.
About You
Experience in catering, cooking, or a similar food preparation role.
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work independently and manage a small kitchen.
Friendly and approachable manner.
Food Hygiene Certificate preferred (training can be provided).
