Work days would be every Friday and every other Wednesday.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental hygiene assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
- Perform professional cleanings such as scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal patient oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools and medical imaging equipment for accurate diagnostics.
- Maintain detailed patient records, documenting treatments, findings, and recommendations clearly and accurately.
- Support infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards for staff and patients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health principles to provide effective patient care.
- Proficient in SOE/Exact for clinical record keeping, charting, and appointment management.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to interpret dental radiographs accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures and patient assessments.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage patient records efficiently.
- Positive attitude with a passion for promoting health education and building trusting relationships.
- GDC-registered Dental Hygienist.
