We are looking for a Middleware Developer who can take ownership of our system integration and API pipelines. You aren't just writing code; you are building the nervous system for enterprise data flow. You will collaborate closely with system architects and software engineers, bridging the gap between complex legacy systems and modern distributed networks. Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Ownership: Maintain, optimize, and evolve our enterprise middleware and data integration pipelines. Ensure consistent data flow across complex networks.
- End-to-End API Design: Lead the process from interface design and protocol specification to implementation, testing, and continuous deployment.
- System Optimization: Monitor performance, conduct root-cause analysis, and provide technical resolution for integration bottlenecks to maintain high availability.
- Data Reliability: Validate assumptions with technical profiling and end-to-end testing before pushing integration updates into production environments.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Present your integration strategies to software engineering teams and technical leadership. Explain the technical trade-offs behind protocol choices.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years in Software Development with a focus on middleware, distributed systems, or backend enterprise integrations.
- Technical Background: Deep experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), API architectures (REST/SOAP), and languages like Java, Python, or C#.
- Tooling: You are proficient with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and database query languages.
- Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills are required for clear technical documentation and effective cross-team collaboration.
- Mindset: You are pragmatic. You know how to balance structural perfection with delivering dependable code that keeps production systems moving.
Pay: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
