We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Packaging Room Operative to join our team.
This role involves packing pizza bases in a fast-paced production environment, using a combination of automated packaging machinery and manual box packing processes. You will also assist with general warehouse duties to support production operations.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the business and develop a long-term career in food manufacturing and artisan pizza production.
Key Responsibilities
- Packing pizza bases using packaging machinery
- Manual packing of products into boxes and cartons
- Making and assembling cardboard boxes
- Supplying packaging materials and stock to production areas
- Moving stock and finished goods within the warehouse
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
- Assisting with other warehouse and production tasks as required
Hours of Work
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Start times vary depending on production requirements and may begin between 7:00am and 9:00am
- Daily finish times will vary based on production schedules
- Opportunities for overtime may be available, including occasional Sunday work during busy periods
Flexibility is important, as production demands can change from day to day.

Experience

Recruitment Process

This trial provides an opportunity to experience the work environment, duties, pace, and expectations of the role before making a commitment.
Candidates who are offered and accept a position with the company will be paid for the 3-hour trial shift.
Pay
- Wages are paid monthly directly into your nominated bank account
- Overtime, where applicable, will be paid at the applicable rate
- This position is paid at the applicable National Minimum Wage rate based on the employee's age and in accordance with current UK legislation
- Minimum wage rates are reviewed by the Government and may change from time to time
