About London Elite Youth
London Elite Youth is an independent football development organisation working with talented academy and grassroots players across London.
Established in 2015, we provide technical, position-specific and individual player-development programmes designed to complement players’ existing club football.
We’re now looking for a creative and ambitious Social Media & Content Lead to take ownership of the next stage of our digital presence.
This is a hands-on role combining social media, photography, videography, editing and content strategy.
We’re not simply looking for someone to schedule posts.
We want someone who can plan it, capture it, create it and publish it.
What You’ll Do
Working closely with the founder, you’ll help shape how London Elite Youth is presented across our digital platforms.
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning and developing our social media and content strategy Creating and managing a consistent content calendar Attending selected football training sessions, camps and events across London Capturing high-quality photography and video Creating Instagram Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts Supporting longer-form YouTube content Editing photography and video content Identifying stories and content opportunities within our programmes Writing captions and packaging content for different platforms Scheduling and publishing content Monitoring content performance and using insights to improve future content Helping develop a consistent visual identity for London Elite Youth Contributing creative ideas during regular planning meetings
Who We’re Looking For
We’re interested in someone who:
- Has a strong creative eye Can confidently shoot both photography and video Has strong video-editing skills Understands Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Understands what makes engaging short-form content Can tell stories rather than simply create promotional posts Is proactive and comfortable bringing their own ideas Can work independently and remotely Is organised and able to work to deadlines Is interested in football, sport, performance or youth development Is available for selected evening and weekend sessions across London
Previous sports or football content experience would be an advantage but isn’t essential if you have an outstanding portfolio.
Equipment
Applicants should have access to their own suitable photography/videography equipment and editing software.

Working Arrangement
This is initially a freelance/part-time hybrid position.
Most editing, planning and social-media work can be completed remotely.
You’ll also attend selected London Elite Youth sessions and events to capture content, initially expected to be approximately 2-4 visits per week.
Evening and weekend availability will therefore be required.
Pay
We’re open to discussing either a monthly freelance retainer or agreed package based on deliverables, depending on experience, portfolio and availability.

What We’re Building
This role has the potential to become much more than simply creating social media posts.
We’re looking for someone who can help shape the digital identity of London Elite Youth and grow alongside the organisation as we expand our player-development programmes, events, camps and digital content.
