Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, efficiently relay them to kitchen staff, and ensure timely delivery
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and dining space in compliance with food safety standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems while balancing tabs at the end of shifts
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bartending preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques
- Strong communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle multiple tables or drink orders efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for processing payments and managing tabs accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food prep and safety procedures
- Excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy hours
