Children's Dance Assistant (Weekend Role)

Petite Performers is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and nurturing Teaching Assistants to support our children's dance and performing arts classes. This role is perfect for aspiring teachers, dance students, nursery practitioners, teaching assistants or anyone with experience working with young children and a passion for the performing arts.
The Role Location: West Hampstead Teaching Hours:
- Saturdays: 9:00am–11:30am
- Sundays: 9:00am–11:30am or 9:00am–12:00pm
You will assist our lead teachers with:
● Supporting children during class
● Demonstrating activities and exercises
● Helping with classroom management
● Setting up and packing away equipment
● Creating a fun, positive and safe environment
Classes include ballet, hip hop, musical theatre and creative movement for children aged 18 months to 8 years.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
● Has previous experience working with children (essential)
● Is friendly, confident and dependable
● Has excellent communication skill
● Enjoys working as part of a team
● Is willing to learn and grow within the role
● A background in dance, particularly ballet, is highly desirable.
Requirements:
● Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
● Right to work in the UK
● Previous experience working with children
● Valid First Aid certificate preferred (or willingness to obtain one)
