Duties
- Assist with materials handling, including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse using manual techniques or mechanical equipment such as forklifts
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload shipments, ensuring proper stacking and storage of goods
- Use the warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage order picking and packing processes
- Prepare shipments by selecting products accurately, packing items securely, and labeling packages for delivery or transfer
- Conduct quality control checks to verify product integrity, identify damages or discrepancies, and report issues promptly
- Stock shelves systematically to ensure easy access and optimal organization of inventory
- Support shipping & receiving activities by documenting inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods for damages, and maintaining accurate records
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment or similar setting is preferred
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures is essential
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail for quality control tasks and inventory accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
