Overview

Duties
- Support the delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's development and well-being
- Assist in creating a safe, nurturing environment that encourages learning through play and exploration
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with senior staff to tailor care plans effectively
- Communicate clearly with children, parents, and team members to foster strong relationships and understanding
- Contribute to daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play, ensuring consistency and safety
- Develop management and leadership skills by taking responsibility for small group activities under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and health information in line with regulatory standards
Requirements
- Experience working with children in childcare, nursery or early childhood education settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn about childcare regulations, safeguarding procedures, and early childhood development principles
- Valid driving license is preferred for roles requiring travel between multiple nursery locations
- Ability to work flexibly within a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Commitment to completing the Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship qualification through dedicated study and practical training
