Darlow Lloyd (Construction) Ltd are currently looking to hire a highly motivated experienced Site Manager to manage our ongoing residential sites in the Carmarthen area.
The Site Managers role is integral to working as a team in order that we can deliver our projects to the highest quality.
What we expect form the role?
The ability to:
· To work closely with the Project Manager
- Day‑to‑day management of planned works across multiple areas on site
· Manage a construction site, to ensure the work is completed on time, to specification and safety regulations, while complying with company and construction build and quality standards
· Ensure all quality and safety inspections are within quality control standards
· Facilitate communication and coordinate activities with external third parties, such as local authorities and utility companies to ensure achievement of the programme
· Maintaining accurate records for the works including but not limited to, RAMS, daily briefings, Inductions, Health, Safety and Environment, timesheets, incident reports, quality control checklists
· Ensure materials are called off in a timely manner and checked and stored in accordance with guidelines
· Direct and supervise activity of our workforce, including all subcontractors, to ensure works are completed on time, to the desired quality standards and within budget
· Work cohesively with other departments across the Company such as Commercial, Engineering and SHE to ensure achievement of targets, for example prompt resolution of client issues and timely updates relating to progress
- Support successful handover and completion of works
· Assist in preparations for weekly/monthly reports
· Ensure compliance of the site workforce and all visitors with the Health, Safety and Environment Policy to minimise incidents and accidents
· This role will involve travel across various sites in the region as well as occasional trips to our head office.
What we need from you?
· Experience within the construction (housing) industry is essential
· Understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
· Current CSCS Card (Managers preferred or working towards it)
· SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
· Full UK Driving Licence is required
· HNC/HND or Degree in Construction Management
· Qualified to minimum NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management preferred or working towards it
· Excellent communication, organisational & people skills
· Strong IT skills
