Duties
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers.
- Support the movement of ingredients and supplies within the kitchen to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness in storage areas, refrigerators, and waste disposal zones.
- Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
- Help with setting up dining areas or service stations as needed for meal service.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe working environment for everyone.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation and basic cooking techniques is advantageous.
- Experience working in a busy kitchen environment helps in understanding workflow and hygiene standards.
