Compound Driver
Location: Long Bennington, Lincolnshire
Shift: Monday-Sunday, working hours between 06:00-19:00 (shifts to be discussed at interview)
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Overtime Rate: £16.94 per hour (paid after 45 hours)
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm (12 weeks)
We are recruiting Vehicle Compound Drivers to join our client's newly opened site in Long Bennington, a leading UK automotive company. This role is essential in ensuring efficient vehicle movements between the compound and workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely manoeuvre vehicles within the large outdoor compound and in/out of workshops.
- Park vehicles in designated bays and jump-start vehicles where necessary.
- Work with a variety of vehicles, including standard cars, high-performance models, and EVs.
- Drive manual, automatic, semi-automatic, and electric vehicles.
- Carry out pre-movement vehicle inspections, reporting any damage or issues.
- Work efficiently in all weather conditions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Confident driving different vehicle types and transmissions.
- Previous professional driving experience is an advantage.
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years, with no more than 6 points for minor offences).
- Must have your own vehicle to be able to get to site.
