BREAKFAST CHEF
The Mercure St Helens Hotel 4 star hotel located in St Helens Town centre with 84 Bedrooms with Conference & Banqueting facilities (up to 300 guests)
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and confident Breakfast Chef to join our team at The Mercure St Helens Hotel. In this role, exceeding guest expectations isn’t just a goal – it’s the standard.
You will already be an experienced Breakfast Chef, someone who is a morning person – our breakfast shifts start as early as 6am - self-motivated and able to work under pressure are key attributes of a successful candidate.
As Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast dishes efficiently and to the highest standard. This role requires early morning starts and the ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment. You should have a keen eye for detail, ensuring every dish is beautifully presented while maintaining excellent food hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast buffet items to company standards
- Ensure the buffet is well-stocked and replenished as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food hygiene regulations
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation
- Assist with lunch and conference service when required
What will the role of a Breakfast Chef involve?
- Ensuring the preparation and presentation of breakfast dishes are of high quality at all times
- Managing the breakfast service
- Setting up and cleaning the kitchen after breakfast
- Accepting deliveries and arranging stock rotation
- Ensuring orders are placed whilst monitoring stock levels
- Keeping all kitchen stores and fridges clean
- Various roles within the kitchen in quiet time.
A typical working week will be 5 days out of 7, working between 6 am and 11 am. Hourly rate of pay to be agreed at interview. If you are self-motivated, able to work under minimal supervision we would love to hear from you.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
