Job Overview
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking workshop assistant/delivery driver to join our friendly team at Bastable's Furniture & Upholstery.
This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same. You'll be supporting our upholsterers and helping to keep the workshop running smoothly.
This position is for 32 hours a week. Days and working hours to be discussed
Duties will include:
- Delivering and collecting furniture
- Installing commercial upholstery
- Stripping furniture ready for re-upholstery
- Cutting foam to size
- Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and organised
- Assisting with general workshop and day-to-day duties as required
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Physically fit, as the role involves lifting and moving furniture
- Comfortable driving a van
- Able to use their own initiative
- Willing to learn and get involved with a variety of tasks
- Full Uk driving license is essential as you will be driving the company van for deliveries ansd collections
