Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours
- Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to optimise flavour and presentation
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serving of meals
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for ingredients, and manage inventory control
- Train new team members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service standards
- Maintain a positive team environment by fostering collaboration and professional development
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and oversee a team
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and suppliers
- Experience in food production, culinary arts, and hospitality service
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
