Hello and thank you for taking a look at my advert for this position.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to care for our lovely home each Saturday in Martindale, CA10 2NF. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for creating a tidy and organized space. Our guests leave 10am and arrive 3pm each Saturday, so that is the available period for the turnaround.
We would love whoever does the caretaking to do the grass cutting as well, but this is to be discussed and why we say 5 hours.
The job involves cleaning, laundry, making beds, making sure the house is welcoming and ready for each visitor. Ideally to include grass cutting, but this can be discussed. We do not currently need to advertise Coogarth as it is well used by family, friends and public visitors who return time after time so anyone who works with us would be a part of a lovely history.

Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and polishing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas by sanitizing fixtures and surfaces
- Manage laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
- Ensure all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety throughout the home by following proper janitorial procedures
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service by addressing household members’ needs with professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or hotel cleaning environments is highly desirable
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively and politely
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or hotel housekeeping is a plus
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and efficiency
- Reliable transportation to arrive promptly each Saturday in Martindale
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for maintaining a clean and welcoming home environment
