Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the practice are cleaned and presented to the highest standards in accordance with infection control and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect dental surgery rooms after the practice has closed, following infection control procedures.
- Clean and sanitize all patient and staff toilets, ensuring supplies are replenished as needed.
- Clean and maintain the staff kitchen, including worktops, sink, cupboards (as required), and appliances.
- Vacuum, mop, and clean the waiting room, reception area, corridors, and other communal spaces.
- Empty waste bins and replace bin liners, disposing of waste appropriately.
- Dust and wipe all accessible surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
- Clean internal glass, doors, and touch points such as handles and light switches.
- Restock consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue where required.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or low stock levels to the Practice Manager.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly after use.
- Follow all health and safety, COSHH, and infection prevention policies.
Person Specification
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred, ideally in a healthcare or dental environment.
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Trustworthy and respectful of confidentiality within a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures is desirable (training can be provided).
Hours of Work
- 5 hours per week , 1 hour Monday to Friday
- Evening shifts starting at 5:30 PM.
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
