Overview
We are seeking additional experienced Bartenders to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively environment, engaging with diverse patrons while showcasing your skills in beverage service and hospitality. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining the bar area to high standards.
On this occasion we are restricting applications to those with existing bartending experience. You will need to be available to work unsocial hours, including weekends, though will not necessarily be routinely scheduled to work them. The key word is flexibility, we need people who can cover for their colleagues as they will cover for you. Essential in a small team.
Hours can vary from a standard 6 p.w. to 24 p.w. according to your needs and situation. Add to this an average 6 p.w. providing cover.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver prompt service
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times, adhering to food safety standards
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and prevent underage sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system efficiently
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages
- Maintain a friendly, professional demeanour while managing busy periods effectively
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
Experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to beverage service
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on excellent customer care
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Proven ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Familiarity with standard bar equipment and techniques is advantageous
