Hathaway medical Centre are looking to recruit a part time enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and forward thinking Nursing team. 1 Year Fixed Maternity Cover with a view of possible extension.
The Hours will be 17-20 per week (can be negotiated)
THIS VACANCY IS FOR A CLINICAL HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT THAT CAN TAKE BLOOD AND PERFORM OTHER CLINICAL HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT TASKS. THIS IS NOT A CARE ROLE.
The role will include CLINICAL Healthcare Assistant work with our patients, and a variety of other tasks.
Main duties of the job:
We are looking for an experienced Clinical HCA with experience in phlebotomy and ECG's as a minimum, with a view to training on other tasks such as INRs, Health Checks, wound care, Diabetic foot checks, Chaperoning duties, Processing and management ofd laboratory samples requested by GP's/ nurses, Clearing and Re- stocking consulting rooms, preparing and maintaining environment and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions.
We are keen to train our staff to the best of their ability, and we offer in house and external training as needed to complement existing experience and qualifications.
We are looking for someone with experience of the clinical Health Care Assistant role, a responsible, adaptable person who has good communication skills and who can cope with the workload within this busy practice.
This role will involve a high degree of confidentiality and excellent customer service.
Essential
- Previous experience of the role.
- Evidence of ongoing clinical updates and training.
Desirable
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 (or further) in Health and Social Care.
Experience
Essential
- Phlebotomy, ECG and other Clinical HCA tasks.
- Experience of working within a Clinical Nursing Team as a Clinical Healthcare Assistant.
Desirable
- Experience of working in primary care
- Experience of working in a GP practice
