We are looking for a motivated Yard Operative to become an important part of our busy Witham branch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing a job well, and wants to build a rewarding career with a stable and expanding company.
Key Responsibilities
As a Yard Operative, you'll play a key role in keeping our operation running safely, efficiently, and accurately. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
- Picking and preparing customer orders accurately and on time
- Loading customer collections and delivery vehicles
- Receiving and checking incoming stock deliveries
- Organising and storing materials correctly within the yard
- Carrying out stock checks and reporting shortages or damages
- Operating forklifts safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Providing a professional, friendly, and efficient service to customers, suppliers, and colleagues
What We’re Looking For
We're interested in people with the right attitude and work ethic. Experience in roofing, construction materials, or a similar environment is beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
