Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Barback to support our bar team in delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining a clean and organised bar area, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth operations during busy service periods. Responsibilities
- Restock bar supplies including glasses, garnishes, and beverages to ensure the bar is fully equipped for service
- Assist bartenders by preparing ingredients, garnishes, and mixers as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, wiping surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately
- Support with the organisation of stock deliveries and inventory checks
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times
- Help manage guest queues efficiently during peak hours by providing prompt support to the front-of-house team
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service shifts
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in serving or working behind a bar is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
