Quality Manager (Permanent – full time 39hrs)
Bradfor Ltd are seeking to recruit a Quality Manager for manufacturing facility in Rostrevor, Co.Down.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who has experience working in a Quality role who is seeking to further develop their career and expand their knowledge within a busy manufacturing environment.
Based in Rostrevor, south Down, Bradfor Ltd is a family owned business established in 1996. It specialises in the manufacture of dress covers, diaphragms, life vest pouches, straps and general upholstery for prestigious local and international aerospace companies.
This role will offer a fantastic opportunity to experience a broad range of tasks and responsibilities as a stand alone Quality Manager. You will lead Quality and the Production team to ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with the relevant international standards and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
The role requires a sound working knowledge of Quality Management System processes, including EN9100:2018, ISO 9001:2015, and Part 21G Production Organisation Approval, all of which are maintained across the company. The role holder will lead the implementation of the quality strategy, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive a culture of zero defects in collaboration with the wider team.
This is a role that requires highly effective relationship management skills to ensure that all customers and all other relevant external bodies are confident and satisfied with the Quality Management System and any related requirements.
MAIN DUTIES (This is not an exhaustive list and a full job spec is available on request)
- Develop, implement, and maintain EN9100 and 21G Production Organisation Compliant systems. Ensure documentation control, risk-based thinking, and process-based approaches are embedded. Monitor and improve QMS effectiveness through KPIs, internal audits, and management reviews.
- Ensure compliance with EN9100 and 21G Production Organisation Approval, customer-specific requirements, and relevant statutory/regulatory requirements (e.g., UK CAA/EASA/FAA).
- Plan and manage internal audit programs per EN9100 & 21G POA. Train and support internal auditors. Drive closure of nonconformities and systemic improvement actions.
- Approve, monitor, and audit suppliers. Lead supplier development and nonconformance investigations (e.g., SCARs).
- Handle quality-related communication with aerospace, medical and defence customers. Manage customer scorecards, audits, and quality documentation.
What you need
- A relevant third-level qualification or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a quality-related role.
- Auditor experience to EN9100 or Part 21G Production Organisation Approval is essential.
- A demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate at a high level.
