About the role:
We are looking for a female, reliable, caring, empathetic, enthusiastic, and patient person to be a Personal Care Assistant to a lady who is 40+ and who has learning difficulties. You will join a small, friendly, team of assistants providing care in her own home in Lawford.
You will provide support with personal care, meal preparation and cooking (along with support at meal times), support with outdoor and indoor activities, shopping, assistance with household tasks such as cleaning, and managing a daily budget. There will be a requirement to drive to different places nearby so a full, clean, driving licence is essential.
Experience with providing personal care is preferred but full training will be given to the right person.

- You will be able to work various hours to ensure that the individual has support 24/7 (hours will be discussed at interview)
- You will be a team player and help the team to provide effective care to the individual
- You will be willing to learn and adapt to different ways of working to suit the individual’s needs
- You will be comfortable with providing personal care such as bathing and going to the toilet
- You will have a good level of education and able to read and write. Computer skills such as Word and sending emails, would be advantageous but not essential
- You will have an enhanced DBS or will be willing to apply (with support from the employer)
- You will be able to provide two references with one being a previous or current employer
- You will have a full clean, driving licence and live within reasonable travelling distance of Lawford, Essex
