Duties
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and position materials within the warehouse
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments and preparing items for dispatch
- Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure forklift safety and efficiency
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage according to safety protocols
- Conduct regular inspections of forklift equipment and perform basic troubleshooting or maintenance as needed
- Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean work areas and proper storage practices
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting with valid certification preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control and documentation
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout shifts
- Strong understanding of materials handling techniques and safety procedures
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory counts
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes is highly desirable
