Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team.cafe bistro breakfast.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and quality control
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service and optimise customer satisfaction
- Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in serving customers when necessary, providing excellent hospitality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience in food production, menu development, and culinary innovation is highly desirable
- Previous restaurant experience combined with hospitality skills will be advantageous
