Help shape the future of data protection at one of the UK's most trusted brands
At The AA, we are strengthening our cyber security capability and looking for a Data Loss Prevention Specialist to help protect sensitive information across the organisation. This is a high impact role for someone who brings strong hands on DLP expertise and is ready to take on broader influence across a maturing security function.
You will help improve how we detect, prevent and respond to data loss risks, working closely with senior stakeholders to enhance control effectiveness and shape the future direction of our DLP capability. If you enjoy combining technical depth with strategic thinking, this is an opportunity to make a real difference in a well-recognised UK brand.
- Lead the continual improvement of our Data Loss Prevention capability, enhancing controls, policies, processes and operational effectiveness across our security platforms.
- Investigate and optimise DLP alerts, reducing false positives, improving automation and ensuring incidents are handled consistently and effectively.
- Partner with Security Operations, Technology, Data Protection, Risk and business teams to strengthen information protection and embed best practice.
- Translate operational insight into strategic recommendations, using data and trends to improve governance, reporting and long-term capability maturity.
- Help shape the future direction of our DLP tooling, working with technologies including Microsoft Purview and Zscaler while supporting new capabilities as they are introduced.
- Provide expert guidance on data protection risks, influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive better security outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience working within Data Loss Prevention alongside a broader cyber security, security operations or information protection environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Purview DLP or equivalent enterprise DLP technologies, with experience of investigating, tuning and improving DLP controls.
- Confidence balancing hands-on technical delivery with a desire to influence strategy, governance and the future direction of a growing security capability.
- Ability to interpret security data, identify trends and make evidence-based recommendations that improve risk, performance and operational maturity.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.
- Experience with technologies such as Zscaler, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, automation, scripting or security analytics would be advantageous but is not essential.
