About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Graduate or Junior Site Engineer to join our growing civil engineering team.
This role is ideally suited to an engineer with around 2+ years of site engineering experience who is looking to develop their career on a variety of infrastructure, highways, drainage and civil engineering projects.
The successful candidate will have experience in setting out and surveying civil engineering projects using GPS and Total Station equipment, and ensuring works are delivered to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for drainage, roads, foundations, kerbs, and civil engineering structures.
- Operating GPS and Total Station equipment.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure works are delivered to specification.
- Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed in accordance with project requirements.
- Locating and recording underground services using CAT & Genny equipment.
- Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
- Promoting safe working practices and supporting site safety compliance.
Requirements
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering.
- Competent in the use of GPS and Total Station equipment.
- Good understanding of setting out and quality assurance procedures.
- Knowledge of underground service detection and CAT & Genny procedures.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Package & Benefits
- Salary: Competitive rate dependent on experience and training.
- Location: Chudleigh, Devon, with travel to sites across the South West. Company vehicle provided.
- Hours: Full-time, 46 hours per week, Monday–Thursday 8:00am–6:00pm and Friday 8:00am–4:30pm
Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
