PRODUCTION Assistant/Operative
Job Title: Production Operative
Department: Production High care
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Purpose:
Prepare food products as per standard operating procedure (SOP) and fulfil daily productiontasks as allocated by the Line Leader.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow Line leaders work-related instructions on daily basis.
- Ensure all food is handled in line with the Companys Food Hygiene Guidelines setout in our Food Safety Policy.
- To follow & maintain all the trainings, policies and standards.
- Help production team in minimizing food waste.
- To follow all Standard Operating Procedures SOP
- Performing following below tasks during the production effectively and efficiently.
a) Spreading & Scooping
b) Placement of Sliced and other ingredients on the Bread slices
c) Covering or Double stacking of sandwiches
d) Transfer them to the cutter
e. Cleaning Sandwich cutter, Production line anddepartment if needed
e) Count sandwiches
f) Cutting sandwiches manually by using knife. (After training)
g) Loading Sandwich sealer or Flow wrap machine.
h) Sealing sandwich boxes by sealing machine (after training)
i) Opening Sandwich boxes
k. Labelling and applying Flash sticker on thesandwich boxes as per instruction.
- Report any Non-Conformance with products to Line Leader.
Teamwork
- Cover colleagues for short time periods when they are out of working area.
- To maintain a good working atmosphere within the team.
- Communicate well with line management and other team members.Health, Safety and Hygiene
- To report any equipment damages or malfunction to the Supervisor or ProductionManager.
- Maintaining high levels of Health & Safety and Hygiene always.
- Follow a clean as you go policy.
- To wear all PPE provided in the correct manner, and to ensure that company policiesincluding hand washing and personal food safety rules are followed.
- While handling knife please follow knife handling procedure/SOPs.
- Report any incident or near miss to Line leader or production manager immediately.
- Where Heavy lifting is required, make sure team lifting is carried out.
