Care Assistant, Barnet (EN5 1) - Evening Call
Visiting Angels Barnet & Enfield - From £12.75 to £14.50 per hour - Part-time: a regular evening call around 7:00 to 8:00pm, with scope for more hours
Are you a carer who cares, but working for people who don't?
One of our lovely long-standing ladies in EN5 1 is looking for a warm, reliable carer to support her in the evenings. She is a real sweetheart and an established regular client, so this is steady, dependable ongoing work. It is a regular evening call, around 7:00 to 8:00pm, to help her with her evening routine and personal care. We are especially keen to hear from carers who live close by, right on her doorstep, so she has a familiar local face she can rely on.
Too often, care workers are under-appreciated. At Visiting Angels we do things differently. We put our carers at the centre of everything we do, we match you carefully to your clients, and we give you unhurried visits with the time to actually care. We believe a happy carer means the best possible care, and we pay you for time spent caring, not time spent travelling, which is why your travel time and mileage are paid on top of your hourly rate.
A little about who you would be supporting
· Our lady in Barnet (EN5 1) is a sweet, established regular client who needs a female carer to give her a hand in the evening, around 7:00 to 8:00pm, including help with her personal care.
· Because it is the same friendly call, we are looking for someone dependable who can commit to a regular pattern and really get to know her.
· There is also real scope to pick up other calls and rounds with our clients right across Barnet, so if you would like to build your hours around this evening call, there is plenty of work available.
· We also have further care packages due to start soon across Barnet, including in the New Southgate area (N11 1) and around EN4 8 and EN5 1, so there is real, growing scope to build your hours into a fuller round.

Pay and benefits

· PLUS paid travel time between visits and a mileage allowance (yes, you read that correctly)

What we look for
· Kind, caring, compassionate and a great communicator
· A female carer, in line with the Equality Act 2010, as the role involves personal care
· Reliable and able to commit to a regular evening call
· Comfortable helping with a personal-care and evening routine
· Living locally in EN5 1 or nearby Barnet is a real plus, as we would love a carer right on her doorstep (drivers from a little further out are welcome too)
