In-House Corporate Lawyer (3 – 8+ PQE) – Private Equity & M&A
Brighton | High-Growth Investment Environment
A dynamic and expanding private equity firm in Brighton is looking to appoint an ambitious Corporate Lawyer to join its in-house legal team. This opportunity is deliberately open to Lawyers across a broad range of experience levels from circa 3 PQE through to more seasoned practitioners seeking an opportunity to enjoy their work and achieve superb experience in an exciting private equity environment.
This is a standout in-house position offering genuine exposure to the full private equity lifecycle. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and deal teams on high-quality transactions, playing a key role in shaping and executing investments.
The Role
You will be at the heart of transactional activity, advising on:

Buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions

Private equity investments and exits

Drafting and negotiating key documentation (including SPAs, investment agreements and NDAs)

Managing and coordinating due diligence processes

Providing ongoing corporate and strategic advice to portfolio companies
Depending on your level of experience, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of transactions and act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership.
About You

UK-Qualified Solicitor with strong corporate experience (private practice or in-house)

Ideally a background in M&A, with exposure to private equity or complex transactions highly advantageous

Commercially minded, pragmatic and confident working closely with non-legal stakeholders

For more senior candidates, a desire to step into a broader, business-facing role with real influence
