PJ taste is one of Sheffield and Derbyshire's leading catering companies, delivering exceptional corporate catering, weddings, private events and venue management. We're now looking for an ambitious Assistant Catering Manager to help drive the next stage of our growth.

The Role
This is a hands-on management role with a clear pathway to becoming a Catering Manager.
You'll work closely with our catering management and kitchen teams to deliver exceptional events while helping drive performance, sales and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day running of catering operations
- Coordinating corporate events, weddings and private functions
- Managing customer enquiries, bookings and event planning
- Leading and motivating team members during events and service
- Supporting marketing, networking and business development initiatives
- Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality and customer service
- Assisting with recruitment, training and team development
- Taking responsibility for operational management when senior managers are unavailable
What We're Looking For
- Experience within hospitality, catering, hotels or events management
- Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities
- A hands-on, proactive approach
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends during busy periods
- Ambition to progress into a senior management role

Working Hours
Average 37.5 hours per week, typically across 5 days from 7. Weekend work, particularly Saturdays during the busy wedding and events season, will be required.
