We are seeking kind, compassionate and dedicated homecare Carers (domiciliary care) on a bank basis to provide high-quality support and assistance to elderly individuals in the comfort of their own homes. The ideal candidates will be committed to enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those they care for, demonstrating excellent caregiving skills and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. This role involves working closely with clients who may require specialised care such as dementia or various other age-related care needs across the city of Swansea.
Duties
- Deliver personalised patient-centered care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Support with medication administration in accordance with prescribed instructions.
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Provide behavioural management tailored to individual requirements, especially for clients with dementia.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental wellbeing.
- Manage light household tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
- Drive clients safely to appointments or outings when required.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff promptly.
- Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, dementia care and behavior management techniques.
- Certification or training in first aid is advantageous.
- Experience with medication administration and senior care is preferred.
- Familiarity with caregiving roles involving heavy lifting and meal preparation is beneficial.
- Valid driving license and own transport is essential for this role.
- Flexibility and Availability are also integral for this position.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
