Warnham Parish Council are looking to recruit a new member of staff. Due to the expandtion of the Environment Officer’s role, we are now looking for an Assistant Environmental Officer to help keep the Parish of Warnham clean and tidy.
Duties to include:
· Litter Picking throughout Warnham, Winterfold, Rowhook and Kingsfold
· Sweeping and removal of debris, gravel and vegetation in built up areas
· Pruning, strimming and basic ground maintenance
· Some heavy work at the direction of the Environmental Officer
· To support the Environmental Officer in maintaining the parish and provide cover during Environmental Officer leave periods.
· Assisting in maintaining public spaces to a high standard
· Carry out weekly inspections on play areas and any council owned assets
Conditions:
· Up to 15 hours per week – the successful candiate must be prepared to be flexible on the hours worked
· £13.69 per hour salary / £889 per month
· Full training given
· Equipment and Workwear provided.

The ideal candidate will:
- Be dependable and self-motivated
- Be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Have a flexible approach to working hours
- Take pride in maintaining the appearance of the local environment
- Have a valid full UK driving license
- To be able to work alone and as part of a team
Pay: £13.69 per hour
