We are looking for an experienced and motivated Plant Mechanic/Fitter to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of heavy plant machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation across our sites. The role will include participation in a call-outs to support emergency breakdowns.
**Salary is negotiable depending on experience**
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and perform maintenance/repairs on a variety of heavy plant equipment
- Respond to breakdowns efficiently, including out-of-hours call-outs when required
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure machinery is operating to compliance and manufacturer standards
- Complete service records, reports, and required documentation accurately
- Work closely with site teams and provide technical support where required
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
About You
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter/Mechanic or similar role
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
- Relevant qualifications in plant mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds preferred)
- Awareness of health & safety procedures and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence an advantage but not essential)
