Our client, a long-established family-run workshop in Chatham, Kent, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. With over 16 years of expertise in high-performance and race cars, this opportunity offers the chance to work with prestigious brands such as Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini in a supportive and professional environment.
Benefits:
- Competitive basic salary of £40,000 per annum, with OTE reaching approximately £43,000
- Paid overtime during race weekends and travel, including fully covered expenses for events at Spa, Nürburgring, and other iconic circuits
- Opportunity to work exclusively with elite performance and race cars, including Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini
- No regular weekends; approximately 10 race weekends scheduled annually (April to September) with flexible participation
- Long-term, family-run business with a relaxed, quality-driven workspace focused on craftsmanship
- Additional benefits include paid travel and overtime for race events, plus annual shutdown periods for staff
Duties:
- Servicing, repairing, and maintaining high-performance and race cars, including Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini
- Performing race preparation, modifications, upgrades, and performance enhancements
- Conducting complex jobs such as cambelt replacements, clutch fitting, gearbox repairs, and engine removals independently
- Interior work including re-trimming seats, dashboards, head linings, and fitting stereos or trim upgrades
- Working with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Assisting with race weekend activities, including race car transportation, setup, and possibly trackside support (negotiable)
- Managing your own toolbox for efficient work completion
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Master Technician or Vehicle Technician, ideally within high-performance, race, or motorsport sectors
- Confident working independently, capable of managing complex tasks with minimal supervision
- Possession of a comprehensive set of tools to facilitate efficient repairs and upgrades
- Background working with high-end or performance vehicles, supercars, or race cars is highly desirable
- Skilled in cambelts, clutches, gearboxes, and engine work
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexible, with a willingness to participate in race weekend travel and performance projects
