Summary
We are seeking a Moving and Handling Trainer to join our team in Morecambe. This vital role involves delivering training that ensures our care staff can safely assist clients with mobility needs, aligning with our mission to provide compassionate and competent care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive moving and handling training programs for care staff.
- Ensure all training complies with current health and safety regulations.
- Assess staff competencies post-training and provide ongoing support.
- Collaborate with management to identify training needs based on client requirements.
- Promote best practices in mobility assistance to enhance client safety.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and incorporate new techniques into training sessions.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among staff.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivering moving and handling training within a healthcare or social care setting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to mobility assistance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to assess training effectiveness and adapt methods accordingly.
- Relevant certifications in moving and handling or manual handling training.
- Prior experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred.
