Freelance Social Media Manager (Flexible / Student-Friendly)
About the Role
Hi! I am looking for a creative and reliable freelance social media manager to take the digital reins of my music businesses. I run three distinct but connected brands: AngleseyMusic, our new regional branch ClwydMusic, and the AngleseyMusic Community Choir.
While my time is completely absorbed by teaching music, directing choirs, and playing the occasional gig, I need a safe pair of hands to manage and grow our online community. If you have a knack for digital marketing and are looking for a role that fits seamlessly around your university schedule, this could be a great fit.
What You Will Be Doing
- Championing Facebook and Instagram: These platforms are our main focus. You will be responsible for creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content that accurately reflects our friendly, community-driven ethos.
- Posting Bilingual posts
- Community Engagement: Responding to comments to keep our digital presence active, helpful, and welcoming.
- TikTok (Optional): We know it's out there! If you enjoy creating TikToks, you are more than welcome to experiment, but it is not a core priority for this role.
- Website Updates (Bonus): If you happen to know your way around basic website updates, that is a fantastic bonus. However, it is absolutely not a dealbreaker if the back-end of a website is not your thing.
Who We Are Looking For
- Ideally, a university student or recent graduate looking to build their CV with genuine, hands-on freelance experience.
- Someone with a solid understanding of Facebook and Instagram, with a good eye for what makes an engaging, professional post.
- A self-starter who is highly reliable and comfortable working independently.
- Ideally someone speaking both Welsh and English fluently to post bilingually
- Bonus points if you know your crotchets from your quavers, though you certainly do not need to be a musician to apply!
The Setup
- Contract: Freelance / Independent Contractor (you will be responsible for your own invoicing).
- Hours: 6 to 15 hours per week. The work is entirely flexible and designed to fit easily around your lectures, coursework, and exams.
- Location: Remote, some on-site work occasionally.
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, to be discussed based on your experience.
How to Apply
Please send over a brief introduction about yourself and why you would be a good fit, along with any examples of social media accounts you have managed or content you have created.
Pay: £10.00-£25.00 per week
