Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Claims Handler to join our growing team.
This is a full-time, office-based position offering a competitive salary, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of claims from initial notification through to resolution, providing a professional and efficient service throughout the claims journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of claims from initial notification through to settlement or closure.
- Review claim information and supporting documentation to assess validity and determine the appropriate next steps.
- Liaise with clients, third parties, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide clear updates throughout the process.
- Obtain and review relevant evidence and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records on internal claims management systems.
- Ensure claims are handled in accordance with internal procedures, service standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential issues, disputes or complex cases and escalate them appropriately.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service while managing claims efficiently and professionally.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is organised, confident and comfortable taking ownership of their own caseload.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Claims Handler, Claims Advisor or similar claims role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and caseload management skills.
- The ability to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines.
- Confidence communicating with clients and external parties by telephone and email.
- A professional and customer-focused approach.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
