We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with practical experience in gardening tasks. Duties
- Planting, pruning, and maintaining a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees using hand tools and power tools
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of landscapes
- Operating gardening equipment such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and other power tools safely and efficiently
- Conducting landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, fertilising, and weed control
- Assisting with soil preparation, planting schemes, and seasonal garden clean-ups
- Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate action
- Ensuring all gardening equipment is well-maintained and stored correctly after use
- Supporting the team with general outdoor maintenance duties as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening or horticulture; knowledge of landscape maintenance is highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools such as secateurs, spades, rakes, and trowels
- Experience operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and blowers
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance
- A genuine interest in gardening and landscape design principles
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials when necessary
- Organised with good attention to detail to ensure high standards of garden care
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential; willingness to travel between sites is advantageous
