Dental Receptionist – Private & NHS Dental Practice (East London)
We are seeking a professional, friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our established, friendly private and NHS dental practice in East London.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience while supporting the smooth running of the practice. We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, works well within a team and has a professional approach.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome patients warmly and professionally on arrival
- Manage patient appointments, including booking, confirming and rescheduling appointments
- Handle telephone enquiries and provide accurate information to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with confidentiality and data protection requirements
- Process payments and support NHS and private administrative procedures
- Communicate effectively with dentists, nurses and other team members
- Manage emails, correspondence and general reception administration
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional reception environment
- Support the wider practice team with daily administrative tasks
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous reception, administration or customer service experience
- Dental or healthcare experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems
- The ability to remain calm and helpful under pressure
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
Experience with dental software systems would be an advantage, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
