Capilon Hotels is looking for a reliable and skilled Painter/Decorator to join our growing team across our Central London properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and presentation of our guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of finish throughout our hotels.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced decorator who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, priming, and cleaning.
- Apply paint, varnishes, stains, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, skirting boards, and woodwork.
- Attend to basic maintenance works such as fixing a toilet seat, changing a light bulb etc.
- Carry out redecoration works in guest bedrooms, corridors, reception areas, furniture's and other public spaces.
- Complete minor repair works, including filling cracks, repairing damaged plaster, and making good surfaces before decoration.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to hotel operations and guests.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times.
- Follow health and safety procedures and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with hotel teams and management regarding work schedules and progress.
- Complete projects within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in painting and decorating, ideally within hotels, residential properties, or commercial environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and high-quality finishing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in your approach.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work across multiple Central London hotel locations.
