We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of Pot8o – The Art of Potatoes, helping lead the team while delivering excellent food and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Support
- Lead by example during shifts, motivating and supporting team members.
- Help train new staff on food preparation, hygiene standards, and customer service.
- Ensure team members follow company procedures and maintain high standards at all times.
- Act as a point of contact on shift, escalating issues to management when needed.
Food Handling & Preparation
- Prepare and serve fresh salads and food items, ensuring consistency in portion size and presentation.
- Oversee food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, and organising ingredients.
- Monitor food quality and freshness throughout service.
Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain and enforce high standards of cleanliness across the salad bar, kitchen, and shop floor.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Support daily cleaning routines and end-of-shift checks.
Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries or concerns professionally.
- Ensure the team provides a friendly, welcoming experience for every customer.
- Support order taking and service during busy periods.
Shop Operations
- Assist in keeping the entire shop clean, organised, and running smoothly.
- Support opening and closing procedures when required.
- Help maintain stock levels and report shortages to management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in food handling and hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or senior team member role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service with a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Solid understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, well-run workspace.
