Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations in the UK, ensuring timely and professional service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to contribute to a dynamic organisation. The position requires a valid UK driver licence and previous delivery or commercial driving experience. Forklift licence would be beneficial.
Duties
- Safely operate a van to deliver goods to designated addresses within the scheduled timeframe
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and documentation as required
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as organising stock or preparing items for delivery when needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving background
- Valid UK driver licence with a clean driving record
- Strong driving skills with knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members
- Organised, punctual, and capable of managing multiple deliveries throughout the day
- Good organisational skills for route planning and time management

Pay: £13.25-£14.50 per hour
